Dental Bonding
The procedure is performed by applying composite filling materials to the teeth using bonding agents without abrasion on the teeth to be treated. Dental bonding system allows us to achieve aesthetic results in closing the gaps between teeth, dental caries and broken tooth restorations.
With the dental bonding system, we can repair minor crowding, discolouration and structural defects in the teeth. In addition, the biggest advantage of all restorations made with the dental bonding system is that they can be completed in a single session.
How is Dental Bonding Performed?
Dental bonding is the most common procedure in restorative dental treatments. Composite resins, which are the closest materials to the teeth visually and physically, are used to treat colour, shape and structural defects in teeth. In a tooth to be bonded, the teeth are first prepared for the procedure by making minor corrections and, if necessary, minimal abrasions. Then, roughening procedures are performed to strengthen the bonding of the composites to the teeth and adhesive bonding agents are applied and the composite materials are processed with the layering technique and the precision of a sculptor to give the desired shape to the teeth. In the last stage, the restorations are polished to obtain a natural shine. In cases of intensive use of tea, coffee and cigarettes, small discolourations may occur in the restorations, but these discolourations can be easily removed in periodic control sessions.
